How much does it cost to renew a website?

Renovation is rarely cheaper than new construction, and that surprises people.

Renewing a website costs the same as building a new one: from €895 for five pages and €1,795 for twelve pages with blog. What is involved is the migration work: mapping existing addresses, setting up referrals and transferring content while maintaining your positions.

WHAT DETERMINES THE PRICE

What determines the price

The number of existing pages counts more than the number of new ones. Every old address must be referred to a new address, otherwise you will lose what you had built up.

The second factor is whether the content remains usable. We adopt texts that are still correct; texts that need to be rewritten are extra work: or your work.

  • Number of existing addresses — every address needs a referral.
  • Usability of the content — copying is cheaper than rewriting.
  • Imagery — reuse existing ones or make new ones.
  • Links — redesign existing integrations.
  • Webshop data — transferring products, customers and orders.

WHAT YOU SHOULD PAY ATTENTION TO

The work you don't see

A migration without a redirect card will cost you positions, and that is the most expensive mistake you can make during a relaunch. This should be included as standard in the work and not as an option on the quotation.

Also count on two months of aftercare: monitoring indexation, tracing 404s and making adjustments. A dip of a few weeks is normal, permanent loss is not.

  • Redirect card — every old address to the best new one.
  • Content that maintains rank — don't halve it for design.
  • Monitor indexation — two months after going live.
  • Update internal links — don't keep pointing to old addresses.
  • Do not leave old site online — two versions compete with each other.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

More about the costs of renewing a website

Is renovation cheaper than building new?

Usually not. The structure is the same and there is migration involved. What you do save is content: existing texts and photos that are still correct can be included.

Will I lose my positions?

Not if the migration is done properly. A dip of several weeks is normal; permanent loss indicates missing redirects or truncated content.

Can I keep parts?

Often yes. We include working links, images and texts that perform well. We start by seeing what is performing now instead of throwing everything away.
